The 2011 competition
In 2011, 971 wine have been presented, with 443 Riesling samples.
80 international and professional tasters coming from18 countries proceeded with their whole
passion to the blind tastings:

Meticulous organization of tasting
The very strict tasting rules require the jurors to be unfailingly impartial in their judgment. The tasters will be required not only to taste but also to describe and comment on the wines according to the following criteria:
- The visual aspect,
- The olfactive aspect,
- The impression on the palate,
- The overall impression,
- The particular uniqueness and character of the product.

The Grands Concours du Monde are delighted that their invitation has been accepted by nearly 80 professionals from the wine world (qualified tasters, oenologists, wine waiters, wine growers, etc.), selected from a list of people from 18 countries: South Afrika, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Luxemburg, Norway, The Netherlands, Czech Republik, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, USA.

They will be divided up over 10 tables of 5 to 7 jurors.
The tables with 5 jurors will be composed of 2 French and 3 foreign tasters and the tables of 7 jurors
will be made up of 3 French and 4 foreign tasters. Each jury will taste the three grape varieties every
day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The winners will obtain a Great Gold Medal or a Gold or Silver Medal.
